  • Can I access every Next World Course?
Yes, your subscription includes access to the entire course library
  • Can I add our company logo and other branding to the course?
We are currently working on this feature!
  • Can I integrate the Next World LMS into our existing LMS?
Yes, data from the Next World LMS can be downloaded in multiple formats and uploaded to your existing LMS.
  • Can I pause a VR course?
Yes, courses can be paused at any time by pressing the Pico button on either of the two controllers.
  • Can I purchase just the courses and no headset?
Yes, if you already have a Pico Neo 3 Pro Or Pico 4 Enterprise (Pico 4E) we can arrange for a software only package.
  • Can I use my own headset on your platform?
Currently our software supports Pico Neo 3 Pro and Pico 4 Enterprise (Pico 4E) headsets. We provide these headsets with your subscription.
  • Can I use Next World's course to give certification?
The Next World platform can be used by trainers who are wishing to provide a way to enhance and enrich their existing course material, or used to supplement learning areas covered via other modes of learning. Next World’s platform cannot be used solely as a means to certify an individual in a particular course; however if that individual has prior certification and simply requires refresher training, the Next World platform can certainly be a means to provide refresher training completion.
  • Can Next World create custom courses?
Yes, however there are certain conditions to qualify for a custom course. Please contact us to learn more.
  • Do I need to be tethered to a high end PC?
No! Our courses run on wireless VR hardware. This allows you to access the courses in any type of environment.
  • Do I need to download courses every time they are used?
No, courses are stored directly on the headset and only need to be downloaded once.
  • Do I need WiFi access to use the courses?
While we recommend you keep the headsets connected to WiFi, the courses can be accessed and used without a connection.
  • Do you apply gamification in the course?
Yes, gamification is a vital part of our all courses. Studies have proven gamification of learning leads to higher assessment scores!
  • How do we implement VR at scale?
Next World is dedicated to working closely with each partner to achieve a viable scale up solution. We have in-depth procedures and documentation to ensure this is successful.
  • How long does it take to complete a VR course?
Next World courses typically run between 20-30 minutes each. This allows enough time for the trainee to familiarise themself with the training environment and deliver the learning outcomes.
  • How long does it take to download new course releases?
Each course is roughly 200mb in size, meaning they can be downloaded in under a minute on most connections.
  • How long is the battery life of the VR headset?
Each headset can run for approximately 2.5hrs without needing to charge. This allows over 10 people to train on a single charge.
  • How often does Next World add new courses?
On average, we release a new course every 8-10 weeks.
  • I want a course that isn't on the library?
We take course requests from our clients very seriously! Please let us know what course you would like to see and we will let you know when it can be done.
  • Is the VR hardware included with the subscription package?
Yes, VR headsets are included in each package.
  • Our trainers are not tech savvy, how do I get them to implement VR?
Like all new technology, there is a small learning gap that needs to be bridged for new users. Next World have great support tools to assist VR newcomers, which includes; video tutorials, an in-headset VR tutorial, and a great onboarding program which includes a “train-the-trainer” day when we empower Super Users within your organisation.
  • To what standard are the VR courses developed to, and how do you know they are accurate for competency.
We have a talented team of VR Course Designers, lead by our Studio Director who holds a PhD VR Design. Each course is mapped from RTO certified units of competency and standards. We also include Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) in the course design and review process to ensure the subject matter is accurate, current and effective for the learning assessment and performance criteria. Upon request, we can supply our UoC to VR mapping document.
  • Why do I need VR training when I can deliver the same learning content face-to-face?
To put simply, you can’t! VR provides a highly engaging learning experience where individuals can learn in different ways; both auditory, visually, and emotionally. Next World’s VR training framework allows us to re-create virtual situational risks and hazards, without putting the learner in any actual danger (which is impossible to do in reality!). This very “real feeling” of incidents’ unfolding in front of the student can lead towards a greater care for wanting to learn more to protect themselves and those around them in the workplace. It also gives the student better understanding of the consequences of poor safety.
  • Will people get motion sick?
Our VR courses are designed to actively reduce the causes of motion sickness. A high and stable Frames per Second (FPS), and simple locomotion are employed across all courses. Both the hardware and software has come a long way in a short time to overcome this issue. VR can be experienced both standing and seated in a swivel chair, however we recommend first time users or people who experience motion sickness stay seated in a swivel chair instead of standing in order to make them comfortable and minimise any symptoms.
