- Set refresher training frequency
In this training the user must prepare for entering the confined space. The assessment takes place at the empty oil storage tank. Training starts with the work permit, putting the warning signs, providing gas-test with the proper equipment, and locking and tagging all the equipment connected to the confined space.
After that the user will have to organize ventilation of the confined space, and communicate with the colleagues to set the observers’ and belayers’ roles.
After that the user will put the harness on, connect it to the cable, and check the walkie-talkie. The final steps will be signing the enter permit and double checking all the safety measures.

Learning Outcomes

Confined space identification:
- Recognize confined spaces and install required danger signage and exclusion zones.
Area isolation and access control:
- Secure the confined space perimeter using warning tape to prevent unauthorized entry.
Atmospheric testing:
- Operate gas detectors and test the atmosphere for hazardous gases before entry.
Energy isolation:
- Isolate and lock utilities connected to the confined space using valve lockout and tagging.
Ventilation control:
- Install and operate forced ventilation to maintain safe atmospheric conditions.
Roles and supervision:
- Assign and understand the responsibilities of the entrant, observer, and belayer.
Harness and rescue setup:
- Inspect and correctly wear a safety harness and ensure belayer connection is secure.
Permit and communication procedures:
- Complete entry permits, sign entry logs, establish communication, and confirm all controls before entry.

CONTACT USWhat is Custom VR Builds?
It’s a service where Next World creates a fully tailored VR-training solution for your company — a custom course built to meet your industry-specific requirements rather than using a generic off-the-shelf VR module.
How does the custom-build process work?
The process typically follows these phases: you provide training documentation, subject-matter experts get involved, learning outcomes are identified, storyboard is created, virtual assets are modeled, testing and quality assurance, and finally deployment in your environment.
What type of training scenarios can be built?
You can build VR scenarios for hazard awareness, safe-practice with tools and equipment, practicing safety procedures step-by-step, and even testing learner’s knowledge in simulated hazardous situations — as if in real life but safe.
Is custom VR suitable for refresher training as well?
Yes — custom VR builds can be used for refresher/training-update courses to efficiently refresh skills and knowledge without re-arranging real equipment or putting people at risk.
What learning methodology does custom VR follow?
Next World suggests a blended approach: combining face-to-face, practical and immersive training methods, which helps improve retention, practical competence, and reduces incidents.
